SEAFUTURE AWARDS
YOUNG PEOPLE AS THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY
The 'SEAFUTURE AWARDS' are prizes dedicated to high school students in Liguria and another for university students. The aim is to recognise experimental, master's, or doctoral theses developed in collaboration with companies, in University Department laboratories, or in Research Centers. These projects should focus on marine technology products or processes having a low enviromental impact and that can be utilised in diverse sectors (Dual Use).
SEAFUTURE AWARDS
The new edition of the **SEAFUTURE Awards 2025** is open to graduates, PhD students, and postgraduates from the Italian and international academic world, both civil and military, who have developed experimental, master’s, or doctoral theses related to the development of processes and products in the field of marine technologies.
In particular, the award aims to enhance experimental theses developed in industries or laboratories of University Departments or Research Centres. It focuses on projects and marine technologies that can be utilised in different sectors (Dual Use), promote a circular Blue Economy relating to one or more of the following areas: innovative materials, energy efficiency, ecological transition, low environmental impact, climate change, digital transition, IoT technologies, Cybersecurity, Robotics, Logistics, and transport.

SEAFUTURE AWARDS HIGH SCHOOL
The SEAFUTURE Awards High School is open to students enrolled in the last two years of secondary school in Liguria. The award aims to recognise outreach projects or essays addressing topics, products, or processes in the field of marine technologies that promote a circular Blue Economy. Key themes include environmental protection, innovative materials, energy efficiency, ecological transition, low environmental impact, climate change, digital transition, IoT technologies, Cybersecurity, Robotics, Logistics, and transport.
The integration of the research paper with one or more interviews with experts and relevant figures supporting the research will be considered a rewarding element.
