Free Space SRL, founded by researchers from the Microwave and Propagation Lab of University of Pisa and the CNIT RaSS National Lab, is an innovative start up and spin-off of the University of Pisa. With a highly specialized team of 10 founding members and 8 employees—mostly PhDs—Free Space excels in applied electromagnetics. The company has strong expertise in electromagnetic compatibility and sensor integration on complex platforms, particularly in the defense sector. It has conducted analyses on military ships and developed advanced conformal antennas (X-band, V/UHF) and cutting-edge solutions for RCS reduction of naval and avionic platforms. Free Space collaborates with many national and international partners across industry, academia, and research institutions and it is involved in many European Defence Agency (EDA) initiatives.
