IDV’s VBA is the new amphibious armoured vehicle in Personnel Carrier configuration to be supplied to the Italian Navy with the aim to effectively increase the National Sea Projection Capability. 

This 8×8 vehicle is designed for launch and recovery from vessels in open ocean, ensuring top-class mobility and high-level ballistic, anti-mine and anti-IED protection.

Derived from IDV’s SUPERAV 8×8, the same platform on which the U.S. Marine Corps’ ACV is based, the VBA combines state-of-the-art amphibious performance and advanced mobility both at sea and on land.
